🌊 Scientific perspective: The moon and the water in us
Around 70% of our bodies are made up of water.
If the moon's gravitational pull moves the oceans, it is only natural to assume that it also affects humans - albeit in a more subtle form.
Many studies have shown that around the full moon:
Sleep phases are shorter and more restless,
hormones (e.g. melatonin) are released differently,
emotional perception can be more intense.
Doctors and psychologists also report that some people react more sensitively around the full moon, dream more or feel "charged up" inside.
These effects are not magic, but part of a natural resonance system - the human being as part of a larger rhythm.
Conclusion: The moon has an effect - not just on the tides, but on our innermost being.
It reminds us of rhythm, change and the silent knowledge of life.
If we learn to move with its phases instead of against them,
we find a natural balance between doing and being, between head and soul.
"The moon shows us that light and shadow belong together -
and that both are part of our own growth."
